New Jersey is a coast state and is essentially one big peninsula.
Perhaps not “technically” until you get south of Philadelphia where the western shore opens up onto Delaware Bay, but it is surrounded by the Mighty Delaware on the West, Raritan/Sandy Hook Bays to the “Nawth” and the Atlantic Ocean to the East.
The Northern highlands section of New Jersey is filled with rills, streams, rivers and throughout the state are ponds, impoundments and lakes.
This yields a variety and never ending selection of waters in which to experience flyfishing.
Try it, you’ll like it.
